Hi Bill, Interesting quote. To me, his words kind of square the circle between the goal-driven and the goal-free approaches.
GOAL-DRIVEN: I put a lot of Brian Tracy's work and thinking in this category (Psychology of Achievement got me started in personal development materials.)
GOAL-FREE: Hmm... well, so far, I found the book "Goal Free Living" by Stephen Shapiro to be true to this approach. (Even if he had goal-setters around him to get the book published. He freely admits to that i.e It's not an all-or-nothing system.
I suspect the fusion of these 2 approaches is what drives "passion", "flow" and even "happiness" in our daily experience.
